Today we got an email asking us to consider Mitt Romney for president. One of the claims was that he believed in traditional marriage. Mr. Romney is a Mormon... he believes that God was married and that Jesus and Lucifer were his sons. They are historically polygamists. They believe that you can have many wives in heaven and that you will forever procreate to fill your own planet with spirit children.... traditional marriage, huh?

To My Critics
I have been criticized (in good fun) for wearing obnoxious ties and shirt/tie combinations to church. Rev. Lanning apologized to Owen for this and said that he would just have to deal with it because his dad was an art major. Owen will always have to put up with ugly tie/shirt combos. Huh.One of my favorite obnoxious combos is the orange polka dot tie with a blue Oxford under a grey sport coat! Who wouldn't LOVE to wear that combo?
Well, the news has spread. I have started a new fashion trend amongst the rich and powerful. President William Jefferson Clinton wore this same combo to the Iowa Caucus today! Who would have thought that Billy boy and Nate had the same tastes?
So, to my critics: If President William Jefferson Clinton can do it... so can I!

American Fiesta
There is a new Broadway play that will premiere next month. American Fiesta is about a collector of Fiesta Ware and how fiesta relates to both 'blue and red' states. Blue and Red were original colors when Fiesta was introduced in the 1930s.The spin on the play is that homosexuality has to be brought in. I am not sure if it is because it is trendy to talk about homosex or because Fiesta has become so popular amongst this population of people (well, the men anyway). It is a shame that a great play about an American Icon has to be ruined with same-sex trash. Straight men can collect Fiesta too (I hope)!

Another political post. Sorry.
Stop racism in the state of Michigan.
Make sure to vote YES on proposal 2!
What is Proposal 2?
Proposal 2 is also known as the Michigan Civil Rights Initiative (MCRI), and will be on the Michigan ballot on November 7, 2006. Proposal 2 would amend the state constitution to “prohibit state and local government from discriminating against or granting preferential treatment to any individual or group based on race, sex, color, ethnicity or national origin in the areas of public employment, public contracting and public education.”

Scary thoughts from John Kerry
As most of you know, I am one who will call a political duck a duck. I am a conservative- yet I have no problems pointing out the flaws of the Rebublican party. I also have no troubles pointing out what I find to be problematic in the Democratic party.Today we look at, the great former candidate for president, John Kerry. Being a man in the Democratic party you would think that he would attempt to stand up for the little guy. You know, the blue collar guys in the factories, the minorities who are struggling along, and those with a grudge against the upper-middle-class.
I would assert that Mr. Kerry is in actuality quite the bigot. His quote today was over-the-top! He claims that if one does poorly in school that it is a sure ticket to Iraq. Wow- way to win votes Mr. Kerry! The last time I checked, our military was an all volunteer military, as well as one that had many people with advanced degrees serving in it.
I guess that Mr. Kerry thinks our military is for what society deems as retards, drop-outs, and those with learning disabilities. Hmmm... which one was he- he served in the military?

De Vos on Abortion
I was wrong in my interpretation of De Vos' words on the current abortion laws. We will see what tonight's debate brings.I am so confused... why don't I just get an absentee ballot and sell it to the highest bidder!

Another Thought
A 'pro-life' candidate has said that if he were elected governor and the opportunity to change the abortion laws in this state were given to him he would not do it."The current laws in the state of Michigan are sufficient."
The question was then reasked and the response repeated by the liberal media questioner. It seems as though he was quite surprised by the candidate's response.
If you do not believe it- check the transcript. And, no, I am not a Democrat. I just cannot support any candidate that does not uphold what the LORD requires of us.
The LORD hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justice, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? -Micah 6.8

Thoughts on the Governor's Debate
If the vote for governor was today, and I based my vote soley on who mentioned God and talked about his or her faith...
I would vote for Jennifer Granholm. Too bad for Mr. De Vos, he even claims to be a Reformed Christian.
