Here are a few pictures of Samson and Sedgwick doing that which they do best:
1. Being lazy
2. Smelling up the couch
3. Being worthless
We love our dogs.
Sedgwick always messes up the pillows. This is a huge pet peeve of mine. I want the pillows in the proper order as well as the stripes vertical with the tag labels facing down. He comes along, with pure disregard for me and my feelings, and noses them around until he is able to curl up into the cute Sedgwick ball that we all know and love.
Samson is the classic lazy dog. Zoom in on his face. HE IS AWAKE! He is not even sleeping...Just conserving energy so that he can make it to the next meal!
Notice the little bone that one of them has hidden under the couch for future gnawing. In our house the dog days of summer are the dog days of life (on Union Avenue).

"Just remember YOUR A (BLEEPING) DOG"
You forgot to mention another favorite pastime of the Union Avenue Pe(s)ts... That adorable growl-bark-yelp-stampede-nip-hump thing they do when guests arrive...
Oh yes, and you should also mention Sedgwick's cute little bedtime game... when he's curled up under YOUR covers on YOUR bed, and you tap the little bump that is Sedgwick, he freaks out and tries to assasinate you. Isn't that precious?
Remember the time he killed that cat at your parent's house? Wasn't that sweet?
And isn't taking Sam on a walk outside fun? I just love how he barks at everything that moves! Remember that time he pooped about three inches from my face? What a rascal!
OH those precious days of puppyhood! Remember the time he decided that it would be a great idea to pee on the futon in front of a roomful of people... he unloaded about 6 gallons! Ha, ha, those were the days!
Remember that time he got a craving and ate a whole bag of chocolate? His widdle tummy hurted for a long time, and it cost mega bucks to fix, but in the end he was right as rain. *whew* Close call for our fuzzy buddie!
Yeah, but you can't leave Sedgewick out of that... remember the time Uncle Shawn got mad and yelled at him and he peed all over Uncle Shawn's book bag? The little stinker!
oh yes, sweet loving Sedgwick. My fondest memory is when Sedgwick tried to eat that (what was he..) 2 or 3 year old rascal. Can you imagine the nerve of that toddler walking around in Sedgwick's home. That kid had it coming to him. Then some of your "friends" suggested that you get rid of him, the nerve. Long live the ravenous beast. Invite me over should ever decide to have him for dinner.
As for Sam, if we could hear his thoughts aloud I'm sure they would go something like this, "remove yourself from my backside brother Sedgwick if only I were able, I'd call social services" more likely his thoughts are not that complex "dah dum dum dum dum dum dum dum doh doh doh doh doh is it time to eat?"
I loved the time my granddog Sedgwick decided he didnt like Jim and went under the table at Easter dinner and peed on his leg. And also when he came to visit at our house and peed in Jim's dress shoes. He always manages to leave his calling card, too and it seems like Sam always gets blamed.
I love Sedgwick, though I contend that once Seamus gets older he can beat him up. Nevertheless, Sedgwick can do no wrong.
Paige
I am glad that God is more gracious to you than you are to poor wretched Sedgwick.
Its all about grace Paige.
*Sigh
Hey Nate remember when we were like Sedgewick and Sam and lived at the Fountains?
We'd get up... to pay the pizza man.
Those were the lazy ol' days.
Isn't marriage sanctifying?
Poor little Sam and Sedgwick. If only they were able to defend themselves. I still think that Sam is actually a robot dog.
Oh no no!That sweet little ball of mangy fur wouldn't dysplay such love and affection if he were a robot!
